What goes around comes around (again)!
For those of you who haven't experienced the delicious sense of community & conviviality gathered around a punch bowl, sipping and smiling, Hugging, joking and rubbing shoulders with people - in person! - actually spending time with other humans - I have a 'bunch of punch' recipes.
How To Punch:
All you have to do is remember this rhyme.....
One of sour (lime juice or lemon juice)
Two of sweet (sugar)
Three of strong (rum or another spirit or champagne or wine - hard cider, beer etc)
Four of weak (water, fruit juice cold tea etc)
and then add your desired spices - nutmeg, cinnamon, rose water, garnishes etc.
I thought it might be fun to take a walk down memory lane and begin with an oldie but a nostalgic goodie! The 7UP Punch.
(From Tom Macy, 30, is the head bartender at the Brooklyn cocktail mecca, Clover Club)
16 oz Medium Bodied Red Wine, we used Pinot Noir
8 oz Reposado Tequila
